This fun hat uses a combination of stich work and stranded colourwork to create a textured purl ‘dot’ of colour. Hence the name ‘Purlka Dot’!

While the results look impressive, the technique is simple and easy to follow, perfectly suited to beginners to colourwork and experienced knitters alike!

Examples in photos were knit with Cascade 220 in Aspen Heather & Gold and Natural & Sapphire, but any two worsted weight yarns with a high contrast will work fine.

The hat pattern is available for an adult size, but easily changed to fit other sizes.
