“Purls On Film” is a play on words after the Duran Duran song, “Girls On Film.” The lace pattern reminded me of a film strip, and although the pattern requires only the occasional purl, I thought it sounded better than anything else I could think of!

This is a really fun, quick knit, easily finished in a weekend. You can even get wild and sew a charm to the pointy end for extra character!

Skills required: Knitting in the round, on both circulars and double pointed needles, basic lace, and basic increases and decreases.

Materials:
Size 7 (8, 9, depending on how tightly you knit, the size of your head, and your preferences) 16” circular needle, and a set of 5 double pointed needles in the same size as your circular needle.
5 stitch markers
Yarn needle or crochet hook to weave in ends.
