YARN: 1 skein Superwash Merino Silk Pearlescent Worsted yarn (220 yds/201 m each skein). Shown in colorway: Royal Gray. Yarn held double throughout project. If that color isn’t available, any shade from this category will work. For the sample shown, we used 3.7 oz or 204 yards. (If using our Luster Worsted yarn instead, you may want to get 2 skeins if you’re a loose knitter as they only have 200 yards each).

SIZE: Approximately 7” in height from folded brim to crown, and 18.5” circumference at base of body, blocked and unstretched. Will stretch to fit most adult heads.

NEEDLES: US Size 10 (6.0 mm) 16” circular needles and/or DPNs, or size to make gauge.

Notes From the Designer:

•An easy peasy hat with yarn held double.

•I wanted to show off the purl side because I think purling is underrated and it shouldn’t be!

•It can be knit inside out if you really don’t like purling; just make sure to turn the purl side out before beginning the crown shaping to show off the decreases.

•Designed to make the most of one skein of yarn - you can easily adjust the length, but might need to pick up an extra skein.

•Wonderful for gifts!
