Journal with yarn!
Make the best days — and turn difficult days — into something beautiful with this customizable shawl. A traditional triangle shape, the Purly Shawl uses easy-to-memorize symmetrical increases with stockinette or reverse stockinette fabric. Bind off when it’s your perfect size or do the full 90-day journaling knit.

This beginner-friendly pattern uses knit stitches, purl stitches and simple increases to create a triangular shawl perfect for keeping you warm on a cold day. An i-cord bind-off gives the shawl a beautiful finishing touch.

This pattern is a way to journal within a knitting project. One repeat (two rows) per day is knit after answering a this-or-that question. The answer indicates whether you’ll create stockinette or reverse stockinette fabric. After 90 days (or however many days create the size shawl you’d like) you’ll have a beautiful piece unique to you.
