The Purly Top Mitten is knitted in the round from the wrist to the fingers and uses purl stitch to make the extra warm folded over top.

This is a great beginner mitten pattern and the big needles mean they knit up super quick!

The pattern uses a super chunky / super bulky weight yarn eg. one ball of Crazy Sexy Wool by Wool & The Gang, one ball of The Wool by We Are Knitters or one ball of Wool Ease Thick n Quick by Lion Brand. The pattern needs between 73-77 meters / 80-84 yards of yarn.

Suggested needles: 10 mm / US 15 in 32” / 80 cm circular knitting needle or size needed to achieve correct gauge for your knitting style.

Mitten hand circumference: 8” / 20 cm
Mitten length: 9.5” / 24 cm
Cuff length: 2.75” / 7 cm
Folded cuff width: 4.5” / 11.5 cm
Wrist circumference: 6.5” / 16.5 cm
