Purple Passion Socks
Ribbed socks are my absolute favourite! Purple is my favourite colour and merino is my favourite wool. So these socks are a match made in heaven, so to speak. :)
This pair is done in a nice shade of purple. The yarn is labelled as a dk, but it’s really almost a worsted weight. They take a while to do, but are oh so comfy on the feet! The balls of yarn were 125 metres each, and I used all but one metre or so of each ball. So make sure you have at least 250 metres altogether.
Another design element I added was making part of the sole in garter st instead of stocking st. I know where I wear out my socks the fastest, and since garter is more dense than st st, I decided to go ahead and use it in those areas.
