This pattern was written for the ”Click for Babies Period of Purple Crying Caps” organization, a group trying to educate new parents about normal baby crying and how to respond to it.

The pattern is suitable for a beginning knitter who is willing to try knitting in the round. There are links to online tutorials for all of the techniques used at the end of the pattern.

The first two pages are illustrated with photographs and show several options for the cap. All of the actual knitting instructions are on page 3, so the thrifty knitter can print out one page and save on paper and ink.
