Pushing Up Daisies is an intermediate stranded colorwork project perfect for the knitter who is comfortable knitting a basic stranded colorwork beanie and is ready to grow their skills. This beanie features corrugated rib, an easy to memorize overall pattern for the body of the hat, and a fun design at the crown. This hat is very warm! Happy knitting!

Sizes:
Baby (Child S/M, Child L/XL, Adult S/M, Adult L/XL)

Finished circumference:
16 (18, 20, 22, 24) inches 41 (46, 51, 56, 61) cm unstretched, after wet blocking.

This hat does not have a lot of stretch due to stranded colorwork throughout the body of the hat. I recommend choosing a size about 1 inch (2.5 cm) smaller than actual head circumference.

Yarn:
Main color: one 50 g skein of Woolstok Worsted.
Contrast color: one 50 g skein of Woolstok Worsted.
Sample shown using white for the main color and green for the contrast color.

Suggested needles:
US size 6 (4 mm) 16 in (40 cm) circular for ribbing or 2 US sizes (1 mm) smaller than size needed to obtain gauge in plain stockinette.
US size 8 (5 mm) 16 in (40 cm) circular for stranded colorwork or size needed to obtain gauge.
US size 8 (5 mm) dpn to complete crown or size needed to obtain gauge.
