These booties are designed with comfort in mind. They have a nicely-shaped ankle and foot, plenty of toe room, a long shaft to keep little ankles from getting cold, and a shirred garter band at the back heel so they won’t kick off.

Sizing: 3½ (4, 4½, 5½)“ sole length to fit newborn (baby, infant, toddler).
Yarn: Sunday Knits sport-weight yarns (90-100 yds per 20-gm mini skein): 1 skein main color, 1 skein contrasting color.
Sample shown in Sunday Knits Heaven: Juliet for main color, snow for contrasting color.
Substitute any sport-weight yarn that works well to gauge: 50 (60, 70, 90) yds main color, 25 (30, 35, 45) yds contrasting color.
Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rows = per 4” in Stockinette stitch.
Needles: Double-pointed needles US sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 2 (2.75 mm).
Notions: Stitch markers, scrap yarn.
