Pussy Hat Zipper Pull or Button Bob

This is a great little charm for aprés-march wear and for warm weather statements.

Fingering yarn, pink(-ish), just a few yards
Crochet hook, US2 or C
small tapestry needle
one small and one large split ring (NOT jump ring)

Leaving an 8” tail of yarn, Chain 20. Join into round, being careful not to twist.
SC those 20 sts for 5 or 6 rounds.
Pinch top of little tube together and slip st across to close. Turn.
Ears:
SC in first 3 sts; turn
SC in first 2 sts; turn
SC in first st. Slip little hat through loop to end.
On other side of hat, join yarn for second ear. SC in first 3 sts; turn.
SC in first 2 sts; turn.
SC in first st. Slip little hat through loop to end.

Sew in yarn ends on inside EXCEPT the beginning 8” tail. Be careful not to pull the ends of the ears too tightly when sewing in the ends.

Sew that 8” yarn tail to a small split ring, very thoroughly; at least 6 times through the ring; sew in remaining yarn on inside of hat.

Join larger split ring to small one. Hang from a zipper for a zipper pull or fasten to the top buttonhole of a jacket. Wear with pride.
