This is a top-down shawl in a sort-of half-circle shape. There is a minute amount of lace in the pattern. The pattern is written line by line to preserve the mystery of when and where Pyewacket appears. Pyewacket is the cat in the movie “Bell, Book and Candle” starring James Stewart & Kim Novack.

Skills/Techniques Used:

• increases: yarnover (yo) & make 1 (M1)
• decreases: knit 2 together (K2tog), slip next 2 stitches knitwise individually, return both stitches to the left needle and knit them together through their back loops (SSK), & knit 3 together (K3tog)
