Pyrenees is a unisex neck warmer for the whole family. It can be worn over a sweater as an extra layer on cold days or just over a blouse or shirt when it is too warm for a sweater.
It is worked from the bottom of the front to the top of the shoulders then down to the lower back. The front is knitted in cables and the back in flat rib. The stitches of the collar are picked up on the opening of the collar and worked in the round in 1/1 rib.

SIZES: child 1 (2) adult 3 (4 - 5)
Shoulder width approximately : 11,5 (12,5) 14.25 (15,5 - 17) inches or 29 (32,5) 36 (39,5 - 43) cm.

GAUGE: 15 sts x 22 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in st st with larger needles.

YARN: this cowl is knitted with one strand of a worsted/aran weight yarn.
Approximately 235 (320) 460 (530 - 605) yards or 215 (295) 420 (490 - 560) m total.

MATERIALS: needles sizes 5 mm/US 8 (rib and collar) and 6 mm/US 10 (front and back), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches and 6 stitch markers.

NOTES: the pattern is knitted using Grège (rouge from Roussillon and mérinos 6 fils - 100g = 130m) from Laines Paysannes.

Pyrénées est un col mixte et pour toute la famille. Il peut être porté par-dessus un pull comme couche supplémentaire par temps froid ou juste par-dessus un chemisier ou une blouse lorsqu’il fait trop chaud pour un pull.
Il se tricote du bas du devant vers le haut des épaules puis vers les bas du dos. Le devant est tricoté tout en torsades et le dos en côtes plates. Les mailles du col sont relevées sur l’ouverture du col et tricotées en rond en côtes 1/1.

TAILLES : enfant 1 (2) adulte 4 (5 - 6)
Largeur des épaules environ 29 (32,5) 36 (39,5 - 43) cm.

ECHANTILLON : 15 m x 22 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm en jersey avec les aiguilles 6.

LAINE : Le modèle se tricote avec un fil de type worsted ou aran.
Environ 215 (295) 420 (490 - 560) m au total de chaque fil.

MATERIEL : Aiguilles suggérées n°5 (côtes et col) et n°6 (devant et dos), une aiguille à torsade, une aiguille à laine, câbles pour mettre les mailles en attente et 6 anneaux marqueurs.
