LXIII.–PYRENNEES SQUARE SHAWL
This beautiful shawl is formed of a square of the “Alice-Maud Stitch,” for centre, surrounded with a border of spider-net all round. The outer border is picked up and worked in shades, commencing with light and working to dark, according to directions in working receipt. This Shawl can also be worked the centre white, and the spider-net in colour, say blue or pink; the outer border all white. It looks extremely handsome, black centre, and outer border in colours, say 12 shades of pink. About eight ounces Pyrennees wool, and two ivory pins. No. 12, are required.
