This tiny summer shawlette, a kerchief actually, has the exact dimensions required to protect your neck from the cold blows of AC. The shawlette’s shape is due to the increases, worked on the same side of the work and on every row, RS or WS. The shown version has a Feather and Fan lace border from the Shetland tradition, which I modified.Its longest side, due to the construction, has a slightly curved shape that makes it easier to wear.
If you want a simpler and more sober version of the shawlette, you have the option to knit an easy garter stitch border: in this case you will not need to count the number of knitted rows, just start working the border by working 4 garter ridges before casting off when you are almost out of yarn.
The shawl requires 2 balls of yarn, one for each color.

Questo piccolo scialle estivo, poco più di una sciarpa, è delle esatte dimensioni indispensabili per difendere il collo e le spalle dai soffi gelidi dell’aria condizionata. Lo scialle deve la sua forma asimmetrica alla costruzione, con gli aumenti eseguiti dallo stesso lato e a ogni ferro, tanto del dritto quanto del rovescio. La versione mostrata presenta un bordo traforato a feather and fan, un punto a pizzo della tradizione Shetland che ho reinterpretato. L’ipotenusa, a causa della sua costruzione particolare assume una forma curva che rende più facile indossarlo.
Per chi volesse eseguirne una versione più sobria o più semplice è possibile eseguire semplicemente il bordo a maglia legaccio: in questo caso non è necessario tenere conto del numero di ferri lavorati, è sufficiente eseguire il bordo quando il filato è quasi esaurito e lavorando 8 ferri a legaccio prima di intrecciare.
