Some of us were asked to come up with patterns for the new qiviut blends now sold at the Large Animal Research Station. They are trying out a new mill which will promise not to mix their qiviut with other qiviut.

This pattern is for two different cowls, one shown in a qiviut-wool blend, the other in a qiviut-silk blend. Both use less than one ounce (28 g). Both lace patterns come from The Haapsalu Shawl and are described with charts.

One size is given which for me worked up to about 60 cm (24 in) around after blocking. Other sizes can be had by reducing or increasing the number of repeats used.
