Qiviut Twinset
From The Natural Knitter:
As far as qiviut, Linda says, it was love at first touch. The first time she touched qiviut was at a Stitches Knitting conference. Because of its cost, she felt pure qiviut yarn was prohibitively expensive to use for anything larger than a scarf, so she was forced to love it from afar. In this project, she used a qiviut/wool/alpaca blend that is not as expensive as pure qiviut but is still extraordinarily soft. Linda also found that this blend was actually more economical to work with than she imagined because qiviut has a lot of loft and weighs next to nothing. The cardigan weighs 8 ounces (227 g) and the vest weighs a mere 3 ounces (85 g). The next time you are shivering in front of the computer, put on this cardigan and you’ll warm right up!
