A versatile, seamless, ribbed capelet to keep your shoulders warm and toasty. The pattern instructions include details on how to form the twist (no moebius cast-on required) and how to turn your work. This capelet is created by knitting in-the-round…no purling is necessary.

Gauge is very important for sizing and yarn yardage. Capelet size in pattern measures about 20” across when layed flat and should fit a small to medium framed woman with a shoulder girth up to about 45”. As written, the pattern will use one entire ball of Paca de Seda yarn (The Alpaca Yarn Co, 80/20 alpaca/silk, 50g is 92 yards) for each color section. Additional yardage will be needed to create a larger capelet. I used one ball each of colorways Forest Pine, Brass, Limeaide, and Chocolate.

The sizing for this capelet can easily be altered. Any cast-on number can be used based on your gauge and desired capelet size. Remember that the yarn yardage will need to be calculated if a different size is desired.
