The Queen of the Heart Lands free crochet pattern was born of necessity. Micha had just cut bangs, and needed a light weight, but cute headband to help keep them back on lazy days. While playing with some new stitches, the airy, regal, multi-wearable design was born!

The headband can be worn two ways. The layered look (folded in half), gives the headband a regal, almost crown like feel. While the un-layered look makes us feel like a bohemian hipster princess.

Please note that this was sized to my abnormally large head. You may need to downsize to accommodate. Also, the yarn used (Lion Brand Heartland) has a lot of give. I created a second headband with different yarn and it fit on my toddler. The dc foundation stitches should fit around your head. Use that as your gauge -Micha
