Queen of the Ice Mittens
Elbow-length mittens will come in handy as the days get shorter and colder, and these cabled masterpieces will be the perfect addition to your next skating trip, early morning walk or hayride.
Each mitten is worked cuff down. There are five arm sizes to choose from. When you start the hand portion of the mitten, there will be a choice of three hand sizes.
Skill level: Beginner

XS (S, M, L, XL) to fit 9 (10, 11, 12, 13)” / 23 (25.4, 28, 30.5, 33) cm Arm circumference (measured at elbow)
S (M, L) to fit 7 (7½, 8)” / 17.8 (19, 20.3) cm Hand sizes (measured around the palm)
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4” 10 cm in St st in the round, using larger needles
Yarn: Knit Picks Swish Worsted (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 110 yards 101 meters/50 grams): #25631 Dove Heather, 2 (3, 3, 4, 4) skeins
Needles: US size 9 (5.5 mm): DPNs; US size 7 (4.5 mm): DPNs
Notions: 3 Stitch markers; cable needle (cn); tapestry needle; small amount of waste yarn to hold thumb stitches
