My Queenstown Slouchy Beanie Hat was inspired by a winter trip to Queenstown, New Zealand. It was essential to wear a hat to keep out the winter chill, and it had to be one which pulled down far enough over the ears to keep them warm too.

The Queenstown Slouchy Hat keeps your head and ears warm, whilst still looking stylish and on-trend. I have included sizes to fit from baby to adult, so there’s one for everyone in the family.

The hat is made with light worsted (double knitting/8 ply) yarn and is knitted in the round with circular needles. The hat begins with a provisional cast on using scrap yarn and a crochet hook, and if you’re not familiar with this method I have included a link to show you step-by-step instructions.

My patterns are written in plain English which makes them easy to follow whether you are a newbie knitter or you have many years of experience, but you can always message me if you have any queries about my patterns.
