Question of Time
Question of Time is a winged triangular shawl worked top-down with an addicting mixture of garter stitch and one-colour brioche. There isn’t a single purl stitch in this shawl! The shawl has a neat i-cord border. The size is easily customised by either changing the amount of repeats or substituting yarn. The gauge or the exact stitch counts are not super crucial in this project. There are videolinks for the special techniques used at the end of the pattern.
Size:
One size (easily customised)
Yarn:
Katia Air Lux (70% viscose, 30% merino, 300 m/50 g) or other light fingering weight yarn. Shown in colour 69 Stone grey.
3 balls.
Yardage:
985 yards/900 meters
If you are using a more true fingering weight yarn, you’ll likely need 1095-1200 yards / 1000-1100 meters.
Needle:
3,75 mm (US 5)- 40”/100 cm long circular needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.
Gauge:
17 sts x 42 rows = 4x4”/10x10 cm in garter stitch.
Gauge isn’t super crucial in this shawl.
Others:
5-6 stitch markers, tapestry needle
