This is a really fun project. Rico Can Can is a wonderful yarn to use. I love the way you can express this yarn using really simple techniques.

You will need 44:5 balls of Rico Can Can yarn and 1 pair of 7mm needles.

You can also expand this yarn out and use it to tie your little ones hair. See photo.
