This fish works up in just about 20 minutes. And because its made in one piece, there is no sewing necessary. This is also a great scrap buster since each fish takes only about 15 yards (14 meters) of yarn to make.

The pattern includes step-by-step instructions and detailed photos. Stitches used include chain and single crochet.

I created this pattern as a fast and simple way to make lots of catnip toys in a short amount of time. I donate these fish to the cat rescue organization that I work with. They sell the toys at events to raise funds to pay expenses.

You may make this fish for yourself, for a gift or for donation. I also give permission to sell the finished fish but ask that you consider donating the proceeds to your local cat rescue organization.
