Standing 13 inches tall when made in Super Bulky Bernat Blanket yarn this Unicorn is the perfect size to carry around, nap with or sit on a desk or table. Super big yarn, doesn’t need to mean super big projects!
Quick and Easy Unicorn is written in standard US terms, and is made with easy stitches that work up quickly. You may find yourself making many of them they are just so cute and quick! Arms and legs are joined as you go, only ears, horn and head need to be sewn separately.

Materials:

  • L hook -8mm and K hook -6.5mm and J hook - 6mm
  • Bernat blanket yarn (or other super bulky weight) in 2 or more colours (1/4 of a big ball) for main colour small amounts for contrasting colours
  • yarn for mane in your choice of types and colours
  • stitch marker
  • yarn needle
  • Poly-fil stuffing
  • worsted weight yarn or embroidery thread for eye details or safety eyes - 12mm

Chunky yarn supply differences -

  • J hook -6mm and H hook, 5mm
  • Loops and Threads Charisma (or any chunky(5) weight) You can use Safety eyes size 12 or 15 mm for super bulky yarn, 9mm eyes for chunky weight.

Stitches:
~Decrease - dec
~Single Crochet - sc
~Magic Ring - MR
~Slip Stitch - sl st
~Chain - ch
~Single Crochet 4 together (a decrease) - sc4tog (insert hook under front loop only of next 4 stitches - yarn over, pull up loop, yarn over and complete sc.)
~Extended single crochet (explained in pattern when needed)
~Increase - inc
~ single crochet 3 together - sc3tog (insert hook under front loop only of next 3 stitches - yarn over, pull up loop, yarn over and complete sc.)
