This rolled brim hat, knitted in the round with super bulky yarn, is a great project for a confident beginner. It uses less than 100 meters of yarn -- one ball -- which makes it a speedy and affordable knit.

The best needle to use for this is a 16” circular, but if you are comfortable with double point needles (dpns), a set of 5 long dpns will work as well.

Other than typical notions (tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker), the pattern also calls for a clothespin or chip clip, a handy tool for anyone new to circular knitting.

Note: A few knitters have commented that the hat does not fit over their ears. If this concerns you as well, please knit an additional 1-2 inches before beginning the decreases. Thanks!
