Quick Mistake Rib Beanie
“Lively & quick!”
For this cute beanie—a free pattern—we took the clever mistake rib texture and quickened it up in a chunky-weight yarn! Worked in the soothing rhythm of K2, P2 ribbing, an extra stitch ‘oopses’ the next row over by one—a much more complex texture than the simple ribbing instructions imply. For fun, we’ve added not one, not two, but three pompoms to the top. Three times the merriment!
We knit the Quick Mistake Rib Beanie in Rowan Big Wool—a woolly mammoth of a yarn that makes simple stitch patterns really pop! Spun from 100% merino wool, this yarn’s bulk belies an easy-to-work-with softy that knits up any project in a jiff. You’ll find this beanie flies off your needles and onto your head in no time.
