Quick ‘N Swirly is a fun shawlette to use up one (or more) of those pretty fingering skeins we all buy on impulse and then aren’t sure what to do with – the design is more about showcasing the yarn than having overly complex patterning, and it looks good from both sides. The shawlette has a diagonal slant and a fun curve and to it, and you can keep going as long as you like; the pattern sequence is easy to memorize, so it would make for a great travel project as well!

About the pattern:
Quick ‘N Swirly is worked flat in rows. The patterns slant diagonally, and the whole piece has a curved shape because of the placement of the increases and decreases on the edges. The size is customizable – the blue-green sample shown used one skein of fingering weight yarn, but if you have more yarn, you can make a bigger shawl. This project is also great for stash-busting – you can use little bits of different colors for each segment!

Materials:
420 - 840 yds of fingering weight yarn
The sample was made using:
1 skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (420 yds) in color ‘Chrysoprase’

2.75mm / US 2- 40” circular needle

Darning needle

Gauge: Not crucial for this project; the seed stitch sections should be drapey, but not super loose.

Finished Measurements: The blue-green sample is about 80” long at outer edge; 20” deep - after blocking
