My sister wanted a stripey hat to match her scarf in favor of her favorite house from the Harry Potter books. I set out to make a simple, but matching hat in the house’s honor. 10 points to Slytherin!

This is an easy beginners hat, and a quick color changer for those who are learning to carry and switch between colors. This pattern should fit a teen to adult ladies medium/large head.

Basic skills needed are knit, purl, and knit 2 together.

Materials Needed:
• US 7 (4.5mm) circular needles or dpns (your preference for hat making)
• one stitch marker
• 2 dk weight yarns in colors green and gray
