Quick Textured Ear Warmer
The Quick Textured Ear Warmer is made to measure. This means there is no gauge swatch required. Bonus! Instead you measure the circumference of your head and make a starting foundation chain to fit that measurement based on the pattern instructions. This technique takes into account the variation of yarn thicknesses even though they are labelled #4 weight, hook size, and your crochet tension and will give you a perfect fit.
If you are like me, you are always looking for ways to use up your odds and sods of yarn. For this one you can dip into your yarn stash, as this ear warmer doesn’t require a lot so it is a real stash buster.
Granddaughter #2 put out an emergency call to Nana, as all her ear warmers were MIA and the weather was setting freezing records. she wanted something dual purposed. An ear warmer that could cover her ears or be pull down to cover her nose, chin and neck area, which meant it needed to be a little wider. I needed something quick, but true to my designs, so it still needed to have style. The Quick Textured Ear Warmer is what I came up with. If you’ve got an hour or so, you can whip this one up.
Difficulty Level: Beginner - 4
I can’t call it just beginner as there are some stitches and techniques that might be beyond beginner level, but no worries, most of them are explained in detail in the pattern and include picture tutorials
