Summary: These socks are ribbed knee-highs, worked from the toe up with a short row heel.  Two colors are used, with the contrasting color used at the toe, heel and in two wide stripes at the cuff.



Note on Needles: The pattern is written for a set of 5 double-pointed needles, size US1.  The pattern also requires additional needles, depending on the type of bind off chosen.  For standard bind off, a US3 needle of any type is needed.  For the optional elasticized I-cord bind off, US4 double pointed needles are required as well as 1.5 yards thin elastic cord.



Note on Yarns:  The pattern suggests yarn in Hogwarts House colors as follows:

Gryffindor: Lang Jawoll Sport #8361 Beet and #8343 Yellow

Slytherin:  Lang Jawoll Sport #83117 Green and #8385 Silver

Ravenclaw: Lang Jawoll Sport #8306 Royal Blue and #8385 Silver

Hufflepuff:  Lang Jawoll Sport #8343 Yellow and #8304 Black
