Quiet Journey is an asymmetrical triangular shawl with a curved top edge. It combines alternating stockinette/garter sections with a lacy and textured slip-stitch pattern to highlight the beautiful subtle shadings of hand-dyed semisolid and tonal yarns.
The shawl is relaxing to make, knits up quickly and is easy to wear!

You‘ll start knitting with just a few stitches at the right tip, then work your way across to the left edge; you can make the shawl as small or big as you like or your yarn allows.
You can use any fingering to dk weight yarn. Solid, semisolid or tonal hand-dyed yarns work really well.
Allow approx. 400-500m/420-545yds to get the given size; pattern is easily adjustable to the yardage you have.

The pattern contains written as well as charted instructions.

length along top edge: 178cm/70”, depth: 47cm/18.5”
1 skein of Wollmeise Blend (sport weight, 150g = 499m/546yd) in Magnolie Dark on 4mm/US6 needles

Quiet Journey ist ein asymmetrisches, dreieckiges Tuch mit einer bogenförmigen Oberkante. Die Kombination aus sich abwechselnden glatt/kraus rechts gestrickten Teilen mit einem texturierten Lace-/Hebemaschenmuster hebt die wunderschönen Farbschattierungen handgefärbter Garne besonders hervor.
Das kurzweilige Muster ist entspannend zu stricken und man wird mit einem sehr angenehm zu tragenden Tuch belohnt!

Mit nur einigen wenigen Maschen wird an der rechten Spitze begonnen und dann zur gegenüberliegenden Seite weitergestrickt; das Tuch kann daher so klein oder groß ausgeführt werden wie gewünscht wird oder die vorhandene Garnmenge zulässt.
Um die angegebene Größe zu erhalten, sollten ca. 400-500m Lauflänge insgesamt zur Verfügung stehen.
Es kann Garn mit einer Lauflänge von ca. 220-400m/100g („fingering“ bis „dk“) verwendet werden. Einfarbige semisolide oder leicht variierende handgefärbte Garne eignen sich sehr gut.
