I have now added toddler and children sizes to the pattern! The pattern remains basically the same, and the different sizes are achieved by playing with gauge and different yarn weights.

This is a pattern for a pair of socks inspired by cozy Christmas evenings. (Yes, that is a cat playing under the Christmas tree).

The socks are knit top-down, with a heel flap and gusset and a triangular heel. There is a stranded colorwork section on the leg.

Sizes
The pattern is written for adults in two sizes:
M (20cm/7⅞’’ leg circumference), L (22cm/8⅔’’ leg circumference). They have a bit more ease than is common in socks, perfect for relaxing at home.
The sample is a size M. There are two different color charts, one for each size.

Additionally there are two more PDF files, one for fingering weight yarn and one for sport weight yarn.
With fingering weight yarn you can knit socks for sizes 2-3(4-5) years and with sport weight yarn you can knit socks for 6-9(10-12) years. You can see more details on sizing on my website.

Yarn
For the adult sizes, you’ll need worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colors:

• MC 75(100)g/210(280)yds of worsted weight yarn (the sample is knit in off-white, Retrosaria Brusca, colorway B).
• CC 50(75)g/140(210)yds of worsted weight yarn (the sample is knit in red, Retrosaria Brusca, colorway 8B).

For sizes 2-3(4-5)years, you’ll need fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colors:

• MC 22(25)g/101(115)yds of fingering weight yarn (in grey, Filcolana Anina, colorway 957)
• CC 15(20)g/69(92)yds of fingering weight yarn (in red, Filcolana Anina, colorway 225)

For sizes 6-9(10-12), you’ll need sport weight yarn in two contrasting colors:

• MC 35(45)g/133(172)yds of sport weight yarn (for the sock on the left in grey, Drops Baby Merino, colorway 22)
• CC 26(35)g/99(133)yds of sport weight yarn (for the sock on the left in red, Drops Baby Merino, colorway 16)

Gauge
For adults:
St st in the round with 3.5mm/US 4 needle

• 11sts and 16 rows = 5cm/2’’ (after blocking)

For 2-3(4-5)years:
St st in the round with 2.5mm/US 1 needle

• 18sts and 23 rows = 5cm/2’’

For 6-9(10-12)years:
St st in the round with 3.25mm/US 3 needle

• 14.5sts and 18 rows = 5cm/2’’

Adicionei tamanhos de criança ao modelo! O modelo permanece praticamente igual e a diferença entre tamanhos deve-se à utilização de agulhas e fios de espessura diferente.

Este modelo de meias foi pensado para desfrutar nas noites da época de Natal. (Com gatinhos e árvores de Natal).

As meias são tricotadas do cós para a biqueira, com um calcanhar triangular com gusset. No cano da perna trabalha-se a duas cores.

Tamanho
O modelo está escrito para adultos em dois tamanhos:
M (20cm circunferência da perna), L (22cm circunferência da perna).

As minhas meias são tamanho M. Há dois esquemas de cores diferentes, um para cada tamanho.

Adicionalmente há mais dois PDFs, um para fio de espessura fingering e para fio de espessura sport. Com o fio de espessura fingering tricotam-se meias de tamanho 2-3(4-5)anos e com o fio de espessura sport tricotam-se meias de tamanho 6-9(10-12)anos. Podem ver mais detalhes relativamente ao tamanho no meu site.

Fio
Para o tamanho de adultos, é necessário fio worsted em duas cores contrastantes:

• C1 75(100)g fio worsted (na amostra, em bege, utilizei Retrosaria Brusca, cor B)
• C2 50(75)g fio worsted (na amostra, em vermelho, utilizei Retrosaria Brusca, cor 8B)

Para os tamanhos 2-3(4-5)anos, é necessário fio fingering em duas cores contrastantes:

• C1 22(25)g de fio fingering (em cinzento, Filcolana Anina, cor 957)
• C2 15(20)g de fio fingering (em vermelho, Filcolana Anina, cor 225)

Para os tamanhos 6-9(10-12), é necessário fio sport em duas cores contrastantes:

• C1 35(45)g de fio sport (Drops Baby Merino, cor 22)
• C2 26(35)g de fio sport (Drops Baby Merino, cor 16)

Amostra
Para o tamanho de adulto:
Ponto jersey, malha circular, agulha 3.5mm

• 11 malhas e 16 carreiras = 5cm (depois de bloqueado)

Para 2-3(4-5)anos:
Ponto jersey, malha circular, agulha 2.5mm

• 18 malhas e 23 carreiras = 5cm

Para 6-9(10-12)anos:
Ponto jersey, malha circular, agulha 3.25mm
