From the pattern description: I have a thing for ribbed lace. And I’m not talking ribbing with some eyelets thrown in, I’m talking full-on lace patterns with curling columns of ribs, ebbing and flowing with the yarn overs and decreases. Just a few purl stitches can add an amazing amount of texture and depth to an otherwise simple stitch pattern without actually making it any more difficult to knit.

There are a lot of charts here! Fortunately, most of the piece is made up of a four row, seventeen stitch lace pattern that is easily memorized after a few repeats. Additional lace columns of varying heights give this cowl a subtle shaping, allowing it to settle comfortably around your neck to ward off the chill of winter. And the delicate, powdery soft cashmere elevates it from lovely lace to pure pleasure, both on and off the needles.

Please note: This pattern uses the mini skein of cashmere, not the full size, although you may of course knit it from the full size skein or another yarn of your choosing. If you have less than 400 yards to work with, I recommend unraveling your gauge swatch to ensure having enough yarn.
