This is a one size stranded colorwork cowl featuring a classic quilt star motif. The cowl holds relatively tight to the face, and depending on the amount of memory & stretch in your yarn, may stay over the nose on its own. This is more of a neck gaiter style garment than a loose flowy cowl, though you could absolutely add an additional repeat of the chart for more drape.

This is a great scrap project for DK weight yarn and the number of colors & repeats can be easily customized for whatever is in your stash! Pattern also gives an option for a 2 color version, for a simpler look.

Sample is worked up in Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool, a lovely wool, silk, & nylon blend, which makes a light and springy fabric.

Finished measurements (after blocking):
20” circumference, 8.5” tall
