This is a quick and fun hat to knit. It is my third attempt at publishing so any corrections or clarifications are welcome!

This beret is knit in the round from the bottom up. The quilt pattern is fairly simple but the diagram helps explain how to carry the yarn across rows and then picking up the loose yarn two rows later.

The hat can be knit in worsted or DK weight yarns and the ribbing can be adjusted for a tighter fit without issue.

Special note- I have received comments that the pattern as written creates a fairly loose during hat. Admittedly I have a tendency to knit loose as well. Please check your gauge and adjust down a needle size or reduce the number of stitches. Feel free to write me if you need help with this. I will try to publish an update as soon as I am back at my computer.
