When Sophie, of Botanical Yarn, reached out in late 2020 about a potential collaboration it was so incredibly meant to be. As I learned more and more about Sophie, more connections began to emerge - and gosh it makes me so delighted to finally share this pattern with the world.

Botanical Yarn is based in York, England, which also happens to be the city where my parents first met. Much of my family lives in the UK, and with the COVID-19 travel restrictions and general life delays, I haven’t been able to see them in-person for a few years. Designing and knitting these socks was a special ode to my British family, especially to my Grandma; she’s the Janet I am named after<3
