QUINN cowl knitting pattern.
SKILL LEVEL: advanced beginner.
SKILLS USED: cast on, knit in the round, knit and purl stitches. The pattern includes photo tutorials of additional techniques.
NEEDLES: 7mm (10.75 US) circular or five double pointed needles AND 6mm (10 US) circular or five double pointed needles.
YARN: Original yarn is 3 skeins of Drops Big Merino yarn (82 yards/75 meters per 50g), knitting with two strands. Alternatively, you can use any other worsted/aran/DK weight yarn knitting with two strands OR bulky/chunky weight wool knitting with one strand.
GAUGE: The stockinette gauge for this pattern is 12 stitches and 18 rows per 10 cm on 7mm needles.
The pattern includes three sizes:
- Regular Adult Size: for a snug and comfy fit.
- XL Adult Size: for a loose and chunky fit.
- Child Size: 2+ years. The cowl is very stretchy and can be worn over the coat.
