Quisalis
As the sun kisses its delicate petals, the vine awakens in an abundance of whites, pinks, and reds. Dancing in the gentle breeze, vigorous branches and tendrils reach up to the sky. Amidst the soft shadows of dusk, the flowers, like perfumed notes, compose a sweet and fruity symphony that lingers in the air, inviting wanderers to bask in their ephemeral poetry.
The Quisalis cowl, inspired by the quisqualis indica or Rangoon creeper vine, is a playful fusion of lace and cables. Asymmetric cables and narrow lace panels climb up the cowl like vines. Diamond-shaped arrangements of yarn-overs create patterns evoking bloom clusters. Twisted stitches delicately frame the lace and cables, while symmetric peaks add interest to the cowl’s edges. Embark on a fragrant and stylish journey with the Quisalis cowl!
For best effect, use a round yarn with reasonable stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Lace to Worsted would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, or gradient (single skein) yarns.
