The 2011 Chinese New Year begins on February 3. These mittens take the Chinese character for rabbit and give it a little personality. Featuring a Bunny Tail cuff and three-dimensional whiskers, this critter with character is sure to warm both hands and hearts.

Overview:
Mittens are knit from the cuff to the top. Thumb is worked from live and picked up stitches to the tip. Motif is duplicate stitched onto the back of each mitten.

Yarn requirements: Worsted weight (4) yarn. 110(148) yds red (MC) and 64(86) yds yellow (CC).

Notions: Removable stitch markers; flexible stitch holder (or circular needle); darning egg (or light bulb, travel coffee mug); yarn needle.
