Quiver Shawl
The crescent shaped Quiver Shawl is knitted in garter stitch from a central starting point. Then works from the top down, increasing at the beginning and end of all rows. It features a beautiful arrow shaped lace motif, with a simple garter stitch and slip stitch pattern forming the border. Both charted and written instructions are provided for the lace section.
This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters who are keen to try lace knitting. The lace section is contained to 42 rows, so requires less commitment than an entirely lace garment.
As the shawl is a loose, draped garment that fits everyone, sticking to the gauge is not strictly mandatory. You are encouraged to try different yarns with this pattern. Any light fingering or fingering weight yarn will work (14-16 wraps per inch).
Blocking is recommended to show the lace pattern to maximum effect.
