Watch out for the front pleats!

“Quokka” is a small animal which resembles a kangaroo.
As this oversized shirt with Dolman sleeve features eye-catching pleats at the front hem, I could not help but think of a marsupial (although, strictly speaking, the pleats do not really form a pouch).

The upper body is shaped using an innovative combination of circular yoke increases for the neck and wedge decreases for the more “outward” body parts (to compensate for the neck increases and to create a drop shoulder).

For the oversized fit and casual style of the shirt, it is essential that the yarn drapes well, i.e. it should include linen, silk etc.

Choose your size based on the hip width (92/ 100/ 108/ 116/ 124 cm) with zero or only a bit of ease, which will give you a lot of ease at bust.

The sleeves of the sample end at the elbow, but hints for long sleeves are included in the pattern.
