The original Corvids, 19 Cowl pattern, published in July, 2020, was born out of pure existential boredom while self-isolating at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the pattern name was tongue-in-cheek, it is crucial to recognize the deep and devastating impact the pandemic has had on countless people — in particular, those in marginalized and BIPOC communities.
