The castle of Miramare is situated on a rocky cliff on the Adriatic Sea. The round arches of white limestone on the façade of the castle, but also the waves, rearing up before crashing down onto the beach below the castle, have given their name to these socks. The 16-stitches-repeat all the way down the leg requires concentration, but those who take the challenge are rewarded with a lot of Italian flair.
