Rabbit
A rabbit sitting up on its haunches. It is knit flat and can be made in a single body colour or in a Dutch rabbit two-colour pattern.
If using Cascade 220 yarn and 4mm needles Rabbit is approximately 37cm (14.5 inches) tall. If you use a different yarn and/or needles the size may differ.
You will need:
- Cascade 220 yarn. For the Dutch rabbit approximately 60g of Black (8555) and 18g of White (8505). For a rabbit with a single body colour approximately 76g of Greystone Heather (9491) and 2g of White (8505).
- 4mm and 3mm (US 6 and 2.5) knitting needles.
- A tapestry needle.
- Two brown 15mm safety eyes.
- Pink embroidery thread or lightweight yarn.
- Toy stuffing.
Techniques you should be familiar with before using this pattern:
- Increases and decreases.
- Sewing seams using mattress stitch.
- For the Dutch rabbit only, intarsia.
