The finished rabbit head measures:
Small - Approximately 4.5cm (1¾in) tall, from tip of ears to lower edge.
Medium - Approximately 5cm (2in) tall.
Large - Approximately 5.5cm (2⅛in) tall.

Inspired by the White Rabbit in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this crocheted bunny in a top hat and monocle is worked in continuous rounds and short rows, and finished with simple embroidery and optional whiskers.

The rabbit head can be displayed on a wall, using the hanging loop to pin it up. The head can also be attached to a hand-drawn background of a picture frame on patterned wallpaper, which is included as a printable PDF, along with the crochet pattern. Choose from either the painted background, or colour your own. Alternatively, the hanging loop can be omitted and, with the addition of a brooch bar, the rabbit can be worn as an accessory.

I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat and a 1mm (UK4:US10) crochet hook to make the small rabbit, 1.25mm (UK3:US8) hook for the medium and 1.5mm (UK2½:US7) hook for the large size.

Other materials you will need include:

• Stranded metallic embroidery thread for the monocle

• 2.5cm (1in) brooch bar (optional)
