This 12ply hooded cable Cowl is sure to keep you warm and snug all through winter and keep those chilly winds at bay. The Cowl is worked in a striking but simple cable pattern and the Hood is worked in easy reverse stocking st. It can be worn in a variety of ways – wrap the Cowl twice for extra warmth or leave it open to form a hooded scarf style.
Length of Cowl (approx, excluding hood): 150cm 59 inches
Hood height (approx): 40cm 16 inches
Yarn required: 12 balls Lincraft Merrijig 12ply, 50g balls@64m.
Needles required: A pair of 5.50mm UK 5, US 9 knitting needles.
Wool needle for sewing up.
Other requirements: A cable needle.
Tension: 17 sts and 23 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 5.50mm needles.
Pattern rating: Easy.
