Rachel's Bag
Made in just two skeins each of CotLin’s Tomato and Chartreuse, this all-purpose bag is made using a loose and open stitch pattern, as well as a hint of seed stitch. Required skills are minimal (knitting, purling, backwards loop cast-on, decreasing (k3tog and p3tog) and minimal knowledge of Magic Loop knitting on circular needles), and most techniques are explained in the pattern. There are checkboxes next to each line of directions so you’ll never forget where you may have left off! Finished measurements are 21” long bag straps and it is 12” deep. Line it with your favorite fabric for a sturdier, longer-lasting bag!
Gauge is generally unimportant, as this is meant to be a loosely knit bag (due to a simple brioche stitch pattern), but the recommended gauge on the recommended needles is 4.5 sts and 6 rows to one inch in seed stitch.
Materials Needed:
2 skeins each of CotLin in Tomato (MC) and Chartreuse (CC)
1 set size 9 16” circular needle
Tapestry needle
1 stitch marker
I hope you enjoy my pattern! :)
