Rachel's Cool Increase
This pattern is

This increase was designed to mathematically pair with a k2tog; that is, two loops flow out of one instead of two loops flowing into one. (To be clear, this is not a lifted increase. A lifted increase pulls the increased stitch through a loop on the row below, and the RCI pulls the increased stitch through a loop on the current row.)
Instructions are given for the RCI and also the RRCI (which pairs with an ssk).
