The pattern is written in U.S. terms. Using a 3.5mm hook will be approx. 7cm high & 17cm wide.
I use stylecraft special double knit for most of my applique patterns but any double knit yarn is suitable. Gauge is not important
It looks great on a card or in a box frame for fathers day. It’s gorgeous on a baby blanket or on a toddlers jumper
