Notes:

1. This pattern was created with the confident beginner in mind however I do recommend you know how to work in the 3rd loop of an HDC st, and understand how/when to work in the front or back loops of a stitch when indicated
2. This pattern is written in English using US terms
3. This pattern was designed specifically for working with variegated yarns but works up well using solid colors as well making it a great scrap buster project
4. The beanie portion works up very quickly, under 2 hours for the adult size
5. The optional flower portion works up in an hour or less
6. This design includes instructions for creating toddler, child, teen/small adult, and adult sizes
7. Gauge: o Using size “H” (5.00 MM) hook: 10 HDC sts= 2”; 8 rows HDC using multiple stitch types = 2” o Using size “I” (5.50 MM) hook: 9 HDC sts= 2”; 7 1/2 rows HDC using multiple stitch types = 2”
8. Measurements: laid flat o Toddler: 4 ½” tall X 5 ½” wide o Child: 5” tall X 6 ½” wide o Teen: 5 ¼” tall X 7” wide o Women: 5 ½” tall X 7 ½” wide o Men: 5 ½” tall X 8” wide
9. Chains at beginning of rows do not count in stitch count
10. Numbers in parentheses at end of rounds are your stitch counts for each round
11. Stitches within brackets will be repeated the number of times stated after the bracket
12. Wash finished product in luke-warm or cold water and tumble dry on low heat or lay out flat to dry
